I recently purchased two gorgeous Thomas Paul pillows that unfortunately don't work for me color scheme :(  They have a beautiful pattern, great size and wonderful quality!!!  I got a great deal on them and thought I would check with my readers to see if they would work for someone else.    

They retail for $100 per pillow but they could be yours for $40 per pillow!!!

A Beauty Plate???

Believe me it's NOT what you think!!!  Ok, so I woke up this morning to freezing temps (high of 17 degrees) and a broken thermostat.  So I made an emergency call to the furnace company and they sent someone out right away.  Of course our thermostat is located on my brand new million dollar Cole and Son wallpaper so I started to get very nervous.  The repair guy explained the new thermostat was much smaller so it would not cover the non-wallpapered part of the wall.  Therefore we needed to purchase a "beauty plate" to go around the thermostat.  The beauty plate was going to cost us an additional $60 and trust me there's nothing beautiful about it!!!  For sixty bucks I asked him if it came in pink, and just an FYI they don't!  My husband was like only you would need a beauty plate installed with a thermostat.  LOL

Baby It's Cold Outside....

It's so darn cold here today I thought some beaches images were just what the doctor ordered.

I am obsessed with the ocean and beach, it truly inspires me when I am decorating.  I think that is why I use so much blue in my home--it relaxes me and feels so serene.  When it comes to your home I believe you should do what you love and what makes you feel good!!!  

Think about what excites you visually and use that in your home.

Love this blue crab such an amazing shade of blue--makes me happy!!!  I just purchased two tiny star bust mirrors that use this color blue 

(will feature them in another post).

Ok, have you ever seen something so inviting???  Can you imagine taking a beach siesta in this!!!

The Most Dramatic Birthday Ceremony Ever...

Last night my dear friend Marla threw a surprise 25th Birthday party for me!!!  Ok maybe not 25th but close, not??  My girlfriends and my mom gathered at a local restaurant watched The Bachelor had some drinks and lots of laughs.  I am so lucky to have such amazing friends and really had a wonderful birthday.  Marla arranged the whole PERFECT night and the best part my birthday cake, does it look familiar?  The Hermes throw I have been coveting...
