In This Case You Can Judge A Book By It's Cover...

What a PERFECT gift idea, these classic books available from Anthropologie are amazing!!! The covers alone make me want them all, but the classic stories are the real treat.  I can see these being displayed anywhere in a home.  Give one or maybe the entire set for an extra special gift. $20.00 per book, not bad :0

Zebra or Cow???

In my living room I am planning on using a jute rug with a border and then layering a FAUX animal skin rug over it.  First I saw this zebra rug image and thought I would do this...

but then I saw this cow hide rug and thought maybe this......

The colors in my living room are very similar to the aqua and yellow room (above photo) so now I am leaning towards the cow hide, any input???

Change of Heart?

I am usually not attracted to dark colors but this image really spoke to me!  I love the dark purple flowers in the black vase amongst the fabulous accessories--I am even digging the "fall like" wallpaper!!!  After being inspired by this image I was hunting through etsy and found these amazing pillows from Coco Kelley, not a good fit for my decor but maybe yours??? They are truly Hollywood glam!
 $140 for the pair

You're My Lady...

Lately I have been obsessed with vintage lady portrait's.  After seeing a few this summer I decided I had to have one.  The hunt began and after months of searching I finally found "the one" on etsy from Coco+Kelley.  As I said before my lady is going in my powder room but I love them in living rooms, bedrooms and offices.  I am particularly fond of an entire collection covering a wall, how FAB!!!  You can find them from every era but I prefer the 60's/70's they are less old fashion and much more glamorous.  Since they are so hot right now the prices for them have gone up on ebay and even etsy--so keep your eyes peeled for one at an estate or garage sale!

LOVE this one, reminds me of my super glamorous Grandmother Jackie :)

Love the color scheme used here

Simple but very elegant

Classic beauty

What amazing collections.....

Hanging Over Your Head...

After reading Finn's post yesterday on French Blue I was totally inspired.  I love when people use objects/things in kitchens that are typically not found there.  Here is what Finn recently found on her Paris Flea market trip (something I WILL do someday).  She hung it over her kitchen doorway, how lovely!

So to my surprise as I was hunting through etsy (which I do daily just in case) I found this....

Purchased from one of my very favorite stores on etsy Patina Posh.  It is ready to hang and finished in gold with a gesso wash.  I too am planning to hang it over my kitchen doorway just like French Blue!  Just in case my husband is reading this it was under $20 bucks, I swear :0
