Modern Twist!!!

A few weeks ago I saw a project Melanie from Plum Cushion did for her living room and decided to try it myself!!!!

Bought two pieces of this marbleized paper...

only $4.50 a piece!!!

Traveled to Ikea to buy two of these frames...

Removed the mattes...

Had my assistance (aka my husband) cut the paper to fit the frames...

AND here they are not hung yet but I LOVE them!!!

Going in my guest bedroom, think it's a great way to achieve the look of modern art without the price tag.

Yesterdays shade search was very successful!!!

I went to The Lamp Shader in Glenview and as usual they very EXTREMELY helpful.

They have an amazing staff and so many fabulous choices of shades and finials!
